FAQs

Here are some of our Frequently Asked Questions we hear when accessing our services

  • How long will my Level 3 Survey Report take to complete?

Once your survey is booked in and carried out by an MRICS Surveyor, our team will endeavour to get your report to you as soon as possible, we usually give an estimated time frame of 5 to 7 working days following the date of survey for you to recieve your report.

  • When should I get a survey?

Whether buying or selling your home, we would always recommend a Level 3 Survey.

If you are buying your future home: we recommended you have a survey undertaken once your offer is accepted but prior to completion, or if you are in current negotiations with the property vendor.

  • What is RICS?

The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or RICS is a proffessional body that upholds proffessional standards for Surveyors.

By using an RICS Chartered Surveyor, this ensures you will receive the highest levels or proffessionalism and the standard of service and product from start to finish must adhere to high standards as clearly set out on the RICS website.

  • What is RIBA?

The Royal Institute of British Architects or RIBA is a proffessional body that upholds proffessional standards for Architects.

By using an RIBA Chartered Architect, this ensures you will receive the highest levels or proffessionalism and the standard of service and product from start to finish must adhere to high standards as clearly set out on the RIBA website.

  • Do you inspect asbestos?

Our Surveyors can comment on areas where potential Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM) is present, however we always recommend that you have an asbestos survey to confirm if the suspected materials are asbestos or not, and how they should be dealt with.

  • Can I accompany the Surveyor on the survey?

If you are having a survey undertaken on a house you are buying, unfortunately you cannot accompany the Surveyor on the survey.

However, we are happy for the Surveyor to call or meet with you post survey to discuss the findings of the survey prior to the release of your final survey report.

  • How detailed are your reports?

We take pride in our survey reports and ensure the highest level of detail with all visually identifiable building defects noted within the report.

Our goal is to make sure that you know exactly what defects are present at the property and if we suspect defects may be hidden, we may recommend further investigation.
