We provide an Expert Witness service on all matters relating to architecture, building surveying and building construction.
We have vast experience in providing expert witness statements for submission to court and for use in litigation by Solicitors and Barristers, based on our specific and relevant experience and on matter where we are considered to be ‘experts’
As expert witnesses, our overriding duty is to the court to whom the expert evidence is being presented, with this duty overriding any contractual obligation we may have to instructing clients.
Working strictly within the requirements of Civil Procedure Rule 35 and Practice Direction 35, all our expert witness statements are prepared and provided and a totally unbiased view based on material fact, irrespective of who is our client or paying our fee. We provide truthful information which is supported with a declaration of truth as being our true and honest opinion on all matters to which we are instructed.
We are also very familiar and experienced in setting out limits and only acting on those matters for which we have relevant experience and qualifications, without ever overstepping into fields where our expertise does not extend, instead, choosing to advise that further more suitable experts would be required.
We also carry out all expert witness services in strict accordance with the RICS (Royal institution of Chartered Surveyors) publication ‘Surveyors acting as expert witnesses’ RICS practice statement and guidance note: 3rd edition.
